The move has been put off until Sunday.  That works for me.  My brother-in-law will be coming along with my nephew and I hope to talk another brother-in-law into helping.  If there are four of us the move will take no time at all.  This also gives me more time to pack.  Tomorrow I get to gather all the needed paperwork and trudge off to the cable company’s office to attempt to have my TV and internet turned on at the new place.  Wish me luck.

Today’s Tuesday and I’m moving on Thursday so tomorrow will most likely be the last update for a few days until I get my TV and internet turned on at the new place.  I have boxes and all that stuff that is required to move so tomorrow is packing day.  I’ve done all the running around and phone calls and all that jazz so tomorrow I dedicate to packing.  Ugh!  I’m not looking forward to it but moving always goes much smoother when I pack things ahead of time.  On Thursday I have the assistance of my nephew Matt.  Some of you who are long time readers of this site may remember my yard-work slave.  Well that’s Matt.  He use to come over and cut my grass and do work around the yard now he’s in college and willing to help me move.  That’s a good thing.  He is bringing his pickup truck and trailer so I won’t have to rent a truck.  The only thing that is not going on schedule is the TV and internet.  Apparently the person who use to live in the apartment I’m moving into never had the cable and internet disconnected so I can’t have it turned on, in my name, until he does so or I have to take a mess of paperwork over to the cable TV companies office, which it’s looking like what I’m going to have to do.  Either way it’s going to be a PITA.  I’ll find out tomorrow if I have to do the paperwork stuff.  Anyways I’ll see all of you tomorrow.  (“all of you”…yukyukyuk!)

I hate winter.  It’s that simple.  Snow and ice and slush and freezing temps, what’s to like about it?  Heating bills?  Cold toes and a runny nose.  Hands so cold your fingers don’t work.  Having to wear a hat all the time to keep your ears from freezing and falling off.  I still don’t like winter.
Grandad wrote a happy and sunshiney post about winter today.  You can read it here.

I got nothing done this weekend!
I seem to be putting off everything until tomorrow morning.  That’s OK.  Sometimes a lazy weekend is just in order.
I paid my phone bill online so I don’t have to go to the store.  I transfered some money into my checking account online so I don’t have to go to the bank.  Geez, is there a reason to go out any more?  Now all I need is a grocery store that delivers.  Ha!  Like that’ll ever happen around here.
Well da’ Bears are kicking ass against the Seahawks and next up is the Jets at New England.
I can’t decide what to make for dinner.  It’s between basmati rice and veggies or microwave burritos.  Hmmm, that’s a tough call.  I’ll figure it out sooner or later.

It’s Saturday.  I watched Gregory Peck in “Pork Chop Hill”.  Very good flick!  Now it’s playoff time.  The Steelers are losing to the Ravens 21 to 7 and after this game it’s Green Bay at Atlanta.  Another lazy day with Football included.
    Go Steelers!
    Go Falcons!
Those are my picks for today.
UPDATE: Steelers won and Falcons lost.

Freedom.  I found this article yesterday and it made me think.  Maybe because I grew up in a free country I don’t get it when people allow themselves to be reigned over.  It’s a good article.  Go read it.

I’m watching an interview with Luise Ranier.  She was an actress in the 1930′s.  She won best actress oscars for, “The Great Zeigfeld” in 1936 and “The Good Earth” in 1937.  Pretty cool interview from May 2010.

It’s fuckin’ snowing and I don’t like it one little bit.  I’m not a fan of winter.  Give me 90F degree weather and lots-O-sunshine and I’ll be happy.  Nope, I’m no fan of this winter crap.

Well it’s official.  I am moving.  I signed all the papers and wrote the check for my new apartment today.  Now I have to get hold of my nephew, Matt, and get him and his truck and trailer for the big load out…and in.  Matt’s a good kid but most importantly he’s an 19 year old who can move furniture easily.
